Privacy Policy

In short
Your products, dates and photos are stored on your phone. We use no ads, no analytics and no tracking. With the AI features, data leaves your device only when you start that feature yourself.
What we process
- Account details. Your email address, your display name if you set one, and your user ID. These are held in Google's Firebase Authentication. Email, Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google are supported.
- App content. The products you add, their expiry dates, notes, photos, stock quantities and your shopping list. These are stored on your device.
- Optional profile. Date of birth, gender, skin type and ingredients you want to avoid. All optional, and kept on your device only.
AI features
When you use ingredient analysis, product recognition, receipt scanning, use-it-up ideas or the skincare routine, the relevant product photo and/or ingredient text is sent to Anthropic (Claude) and the result comes back to you. This data is not used to train models. Nothing is sent to Anthropic unless you start an AI feature.
Barcode lookups
When you scan a barcode, only the barcode number is sent to the open product database Open Food Facts. No personal information is included.
Family sharing
Family sharing is off by default. When you turn it on, your household data (products, shopping list, categories, records) is written to Google Firebase Firestore and shared with the household members you invite. Photos are not uploaded; they stay on your device. If you leave the household, the data on your device stays with you and syncing stops.
Notifications
Reminders are local notifications generated on your device. We do not send remote push notifications and keep no server-side registry for them.
Third parties
- Google (Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Google Sign-In) — account details; household data if family sharing is on.
- Anthropic — product photo and ingredient text, only when you start an AI feature.
- Open Food Facts — the barcode number only.
Tracking and advertising
We use no ad networks, no third-party analytics, no tracking identifiers and no cookies. We do not sell your data.
Retention and deletion
In the app, Settings → Delete Account removes your account and the data on your device; this cannot be undone. Removing the app from your phone also deletes the data held on the device.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. You will be told in the app about significant changes.
